Privacy Policy

The short version

Rooftop Zombie Defense is made by Black Lion Media, Inc. We collect as little as we can. The Game doesn't ask for your name, email, location, contacts, or photos. To deliver web store purchases, the Game creates an anonymous Player ID. Payments are handled by Stripe, so we never see or store your card number.

What we collect

From the Game

• Player ID and secret key. On first launch the Game creates a random Player ID and a secret key on your device. It sends us the Player ID and the secret key so we know purchases go to the right player. We store only a scrambled (hashed) version of the secret key.
• Game progress. Your levels, stars, Gold, and settings are saved on your device. They are not sent to us unless you use a cloud save feature, if one is offered.

From the web store

• Order details. The Player ID you entered, the item, price, order number, and the date. We use these to deliver your items and to help with support and refunds.
• Payment details. Web store purchases are sold through Stripe Managed Payments, with Stripe as the merchant of record. Stripe collects your payment information, email address and billing location to process the payment, calculate taxes and send your receipt, under Stripe's Privacy Policy. Stripe shares with us limited information such as the payment status, the amount, and the email used, but never your full card number.

From this website

• Your browser. The store remembers the last Player ID you entered in your browser's local storage, so you don't have to type it again. It never leaves your browser except when you check out.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

We don't use advertising cookies or sell your personal information.

How we use it

• To deliver what you bought to the right player.
• To provide support, process refunds, and keep records required by law.
• To prevent fraud and abuse and keep the Services secure.

Who we share it with

We share information only with service providers who help us run the Services, and only as needed: Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (hosting and database), and Apple (App Store purchases made in the app). We may also share information if required by law, to protect our rights or users' safety, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.

How long we keep it

We keep Player IDs and order records for as long as the Game is available and as needed for tax, accounting, and legal purposes, generally up to seven years for payment records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below), except where we must keep it by law.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information tied to your Player ID by emailing us with your Player ID (found in the Game under Settings). Depending on where you live, such as California or the European Union, you may have additional rights. We will honor them and won't treat you differently for using them. Deleting the Game removes the save and Player ID stored on your device.

Children

The Game is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has made a purchase or given us personal information, contact us and we'll help.

Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), store secret keys only in hashed form, and limit who can access our systems. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the Game or on this site.
